The high school health unit on body image is designed to help students build healthy relationships with their bodies grounded in body neutrality. It includes six lessons that cover a range of topics, including body positivity vs. body neutrality, strategies for building a healthy relationship with your body, and the impact of media on body image.
Through engaging activities, discussions, and self-assessment tools, students will gain practical tools to improve their body image, self-esteem, and overall well-being. They will explore the factors that shape their body image and learn how to challenge negative thoughts and behaviors. The unit will also help students develop positive techniques to nurture a healthy relationship with their bodies. By the end of the unit, students will have a better understanding of the importance of positive body image and will have gained practical tools to help them cultivate a healthy and positive relationship with their bodies.
